You’ve probably heard that.
A “Viking” guide told us that the first guy to Iceland (supposedly) arrived in the summer, fished all season and lived off the fertile land, but then like the grasshopper, realized he had not planned for the winter, like his friend the ant. He did not make hay while the sun shone, and therefore, his livestock died off quickly. When he made it back to the Norway, (I think), he told the folks back home the land he discovered was brutal. Uninhabitable. He marketed it as “Iceland.” Why would anyone go to the land of ice?
Tours and tourism are king.
Everything costs. A lot.
It is worth it.
I want to go back. That’s the sign of a good vacation….
