Election, Schmelection

I did vote.

I don’t know what impact that really has, but it feels good — right and civic, patriotic and a probably undeserved privilege.

I do not think my life will be different tomorrow.

But, as my bf likes to remind me this election season, even Hitler was an elected official.

Giving someone four years to muck everything up is a gamble, yes, but as we have seen, the Congress is pretty good at thwarting, well, everything it wants.

Am I saying, “What could possibly go wrong?” right before THE BIG WRONG THING happens?

Many of life’s decisions are important, and yet haphazardly dealt with, most of the time.

Good luck to us…
